- Hi. I've read somewhere (in one of those doom newsgroups, from a sort of
- well known doom utility programmer) that v.34 has some kind of `pauses'
- build in to it's protocol so it's more stable than v.32bis.

- Is this true? He recommended to disable v.34 and v.fc to play modem
- doom on 28.8 modems. And he claims that tests he did shows v.32bis
- connection is faster than v.34 connection at the same DCE speed.

- So is it true that v.34 has some `short pauses' build into the protocol?
- That would make it bad for doom, which requires very fast real time
- response from the modem?
