  12. Hi. I've read somewhere (in one of those doom newsgroups, from a sort of
  13. well known doom utility programmer) that v.34 has some kind of `pauses'
  14. build in to it's protocol so it's more stable than v.32bis.

  16. Is this true? He recommended to disable v.34 and v.fc to play modem 
  17. doom on 28.8 modems. And he claims that tests he did shows v.32bis 
  18. connection is faster than v.34 connection at the same DCE speed.

  20. So is it true that v.34 has some `short pauses' build into the protocol? 
  21. That would make it bad for doom, which requires very fast real time 
  22. response from the modem?
